in Mackinaw has grown and now means lots of street theater in Mackinaw
Crossings all summer long, and on the 3rd weekend in July it's the
"Great Lakes Invitational Busker Festival"! Tentatively on the schedule
will be John Park from Toronto, Ontario, John is known for getting huge
crowds with his comedy juggling/stunt show! Also featured will be the
Dallas and Nick Show from Clearwater
Beach, Florida. Dallas is known to thousands as the "Human Volcano" and
is now teamed with his son Nick, a talented escape artist, in a
thrilling action comedy show that'll put you on the edge of your seat!
Look for Michigan's long lost son, home from the sea, Cap'n Michael
Beans from Leverick's Bay, BVI. He's the biggest sea-dog in the
Caribbean where he has performed his Happy Arrr Show for the past 30
years, but as a wee sea-pup of 16 he was a busker in Mackinaw City!
You'll see Clark Lewis, World-class sword swallower, master juggler, and
one of Michigan's hottest variety acts! Look for Crazy Richard, the
Godfather of Michigan Busking, and "Da Fly'n Zambonis" featuring the
U.P.'s best and only jugglers, Oivo 'n Toivo, in a rare south of the
Bridge performance as part of their "All Da Way Across America Tour"
from De Tour ta Dulut'. Also featured that week will be the amazing
acrobatics of "Twisted Style Free Running". They'll depart Mackinaw for
the World Free Running Competition in Colorado where #2 in the World
Dustin Hejka will go for #1! She's a mermaid, she's a fairy, she's
Brittany Adams from Northport, a Lake Michigan town that is famous for
sightings of both! Your kids are going to go crazy over her! There will
be lots more, put this one on your calendar!
